Nigeria's president has ordered an investigation of security services spending.

Local media is reporting Muhammadu Buhari wants to see how money allocated for the military, particularly in its fight with Boko Haram, was spent.

The probe follows months of allegations that the military was under-funded, under-trained and under-equipped - despite supposedly accounting for one of Nigeria's biggest budgets. Buhari previously has vowed to crack down on corruption, and already launched similar investigations elsewhere.
