When I visited a school in rural Kentucky where Save the Children has been working for more than 75 years, I was shocked to see so many children and families struggling to get by. Even in today’s tough economic times, our country is still a land of great wealth and prosperity. Indeed, one in five children in rural America lives in poverty.

When I returned home and spoke to my own children about the trip, we hit upon an idea for other families like yours to help children and families in need.
